Job Description

Under direction, set-up and take down meeting rooms, ballrooms, exhibithallsand arena for various events

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participates in room set-ups and strikes, including but not limited to chairs, tables, risers/stages, stanchions, podiums and other equipment/furniture, etc.

• Builds concert stages, installs hockey dashers,glassand related equipment

• Install various sporting equipment asrequired

• Installs ice for related events (both indoors and outdoors as needed)

• Always perform work in a safe manner, notifying the Supervisorimmediatelyof any accidents/incidents and any problems or damagers to facility or equipment

• Operate walkie-talkie radio devices whenrequired

• Assistas needed/requiredto clear snow & ice from around the facility & the outdoor skating rink if/when needed (ability to safely & effectively use snow blowers when doing these tasks)

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GEDrequired

• Previousexperience with similar functions desirable

• Licensed and Qualified forklift/platform lift operations desirable

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to use hand and small power tools whenrequiredboth safely and effectively

• Ability to listen and follow both verbal and written instructions

• Ability to read and understand room set-up floor plans to complete tasks effectively

• Always present a neat and groomed appearance and demeanorduring the workday

• Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes nights, weekends, mid-shifts, earlymorningsand holidays, as needed

• Must be able to read,writeand speak English

• Must have professional attitude and appearance

• Must be at least 18 years old

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

To perform this job successfully, this position requires lifting at least 65lbs.withoutassistanceThis position also includes walking and standing for most of the assignedshifts,bendingand stooping at times isrequired These tasks may be performed in adverse conditions at times (loud noise, dust, inclementweatherand movement of vehicles).

Union dues/fees shall apply.

Non-Negotiable Union Contracted Hourly Rate $18.05
