12-month fixed term contract | Full-time | Hybrid working | Sydney CBD / Parramatta

At Uniting, we are Compassionate, Respectful, Imaginative, and Bold. We are here for everyone, and we are constantly evolving how we work so we can serve our communities better

We are embarking on a significant Finance system transformation, and we are seeking an exceptional Training Lead to ensure our people are confident, capable, and supported every step of the way.

This is not a “deliver some training” role. This is a pivotal role that will shape how a large, diverse workforce adopts new ways of working, builds capability, and transitions successfully into business-as-usual.

You will lead the end-to-end training strategy and delivery for this major program, working closely with project, change, and business leaders to create engaging, practical and sustainable learning experiences that stick.
The impact you will have

You will design and lead a training approach that genuinely enables adoption, not just attendance

You will:
• Lead the full training lifecycle from needs analysis and strategy, through curriculum design, development, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement
• Design, coordinate, and deliver engaging training programs across multiple sites and audiences
• Develop high-quality learning materials, including guides, tutorials, simulations, visual aids, and reference documentation
• Partner closely with project, change, and business stakeholders to ensure training reflects system functionality, business processes, and compliance requirements
• Build capability in trainers and super users, embedding a sustainable blended learning approach aligned to the 70/20/10 model
• Provide hands-on leadership through go-live and post-implementation transition into BAU
• Measure and evaluate training effectiveness, continuously refining the approach to maximise impact and adoption
• Build strong relationships across the organisation and engage people at all levels with confidence and credibility
• Manage training activities within budget and aligned to Uniting policies and governance

What you will bring

You are an experienced training professional who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments and knows how to translate technical change into practical, accessible learning.

You will have:
• Tertiary qualifications in Education, Learning & Development, or Organisational Development
• At least 5 years’ experience designing and delivering technical or systems training in complex organisations
• Proven experience leading end-to-end training programs for system or process change initiatives
• Strong project management capability and experience applying Human-Centred Design principles
• Deep understanding of adult learning methodologies and blended learning approaches
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
Desirable:
• Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (or equivalent experience)
• Change management accreditation
• Experience delivering training for finance, billing, or ERP system processes

Why join Uniting?

Because here, training is not a checkbox exercise. It is a critical part of how we empower our people to deliver better outcomes for the communities we serve.
You will play a visible and meaningful role in a major transformation, with the opportunity to leave a lasting capability legacy across the organisation.
and genuinely committed to making a difference
