Job Description
The Change Order Management Lead is responsible for driving the end-to-end Change Order (CO) process across the organization, ensuring timely implementation of Engineering Change Orders (CCOs), product revisions, BOM updates, routing changes, and production-related modifications. This role serves as the key liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Planning, Quality, Operations, and Product Management to ensure all changes are accurately executed, communicated, and implemented without disrupting business operations.
The position is accountable for maintaining data integrity within ERP systems, managing change implementation schedules, reducing operational variation, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and product configuration requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Change Order Management
- Lead and coordinate the complete Change Order lifecycle from request initiation through implementation and closure.
- Review, validate, and process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs), and Product Change Requests (PCRs).
- Ensure timely execution of changes affecting:
- Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Routings
- Product Configurations
- Manufacturing Processes
- Documentation and Work Instructions
- Track and report Change Order status, priorities, risks, and implementation timelines.
ERP and Data Management
- Manage Change Orders within Oracle EBS, PRISMA, PLM, or other enterprise systems.
- Maintain product structure accuracy and data integrity across business systems.
- Coordinate ERP updates related to:
- New part numbers
- Obsolete parts
- Revision changes
- Cost rollups
- Manufacturing routing modifications
- Ensure synchronization between engineering documentation and ERP master data.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Facilitate communication between Engineering, Production, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, and Logistics teams.
- Organize Change Review Board (CRB) meetings and implementation reviews.
- Drive alignment regarding cut-in dates, inventory disposition, production transitions, and customer commitments.
- Resolve conflicts and prioritize implementation activities across multiple stakeholders.
Operational Execution
- Develop implementation plans minimizing production disruptions and inventory exposure.
- Monitor inventory impact and coordinate depletion strategies for obsolete materials.
- Support new product introductions, product transfers, localization projects, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Ensure manufacturing readiness before change release.
Process Improvement
- Establish and maintain standardized Change Management procedures.
- Identify opportunities to reduce cycle time and improve Change Order execution efficiency.
- Develop KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to monitor process performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies.
Compliance and Governance
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain complete documentation and audit trails for all approved changes.
- Support internal and external audits related to product and process changes.

Education
- Bachelor's Degree in:
- Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Supply Chain Management
- Business Administration
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering change management, production planning, supply chain, or operations.
- Experience managing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and ERP systems.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional projects within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of product lifecycle management processes.
Technical Skills
- Oracle EBS, SAP, PRISMA, PLM, or equivalent ERP systems.
- BOM and routing management.
- Engineering Change Management processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Project management and reporting.
- Data analysis and process improvement methodologies.
