Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
As Change Integration Manager, you will provide senior leadership to enable, embed and sustain change across NZTA, ranging from small, incremental improvements through to complex, organisation-wide programmes, so it delivers measurable improvements in customer experience and operational service delivery. Working within our Customer and Services Group, you will partner closely with leaders and programme governance to ensure change is effectively integrated into frontline operations and sustained as business as usual.
Operating in a complex and fast-paced environment, you will oversee and coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring each change is integrated, sequenced and embedded across diverse teams, functions and business areas. You will bring to life a change framework by building organisational readiness, supporting leaders to manage impacts, and enabling workforce adoption so new ways of working are sustained in Customer and Services. Your focus will be on benefits realisation, service consistency, and long-term value as improvements transition into business as usual.
Key responsibilities in the role include:
Bringing to life the change framework by developing and delivering change strategies that embed new products, processes, systems and ways of working
Coordinating and integrating multiple change processes and projects across programmes, ensuring alignment, sequencing and clarity of impacts across Customer and Services
Supporting frontline and operational readiness for change through coaching, engagement, training and communication activities
Leading change impact assessments, stakeholder engagement and change sequencing to support successful delivery
Monitoring change adoption and benefits realisation, using insights to continuously improve outcomes
Partnering across NZTA and with external agencies to ensure change is embedded into business as usual
Championing customer experience principles, service consistency and service quality

We are seeking to appoint at a salary between $156,458 - $191,000 commensurate with skills and experience.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
A strong track record of delivering complex, customer-focused change including demonstrated experience coordinating multiple change processes and programmes concurrently.
Proven experience delivering large-scale, enterprise-wide change within complex operational or service delivery environments
Experience working across diverse teams, functions and business areas, aligning and integrating change activity at scale
Strong understanding of frontline service delivery and workforce dynamics
Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
A pragmatic, delivery-focused approach, with the ability to balance ambition and operational realities
Experience monitoring adoption, benefits realisation and embedding sustainable change
You will also demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to develop an understanding of Te Ao Māori, tikanga and Te Reo Māori, along with an appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi as it applies in the public service.
