Change Manager – Billing Transformation and ad-hoc projects
12-month full-time fixed-term contract
Sydney CBD or Parramatta CBD (Marsden Street) | Hybrid work options

Join Uniting at a pivotal moment as we deliver a critical billing transformation that underpins our ability to support some of the most vulnerable people in our community.
For the first 8–9 months, you will be deeply embedded in this high-impact billing program. For the remainder of the contract, you will apply your expertise across other enterprise projects, supporting Uniting’s broader change agenda.
About the role
As Change Manager, you will lead the end-to-end change approach for the billing transformation, ensuring our people, leaders and teams are ready, supported and equipped to adopt new ways of working.
You will work closely with the Head of Change and Senior Change Management Lead, project teams, leaders, Communications and Learning & Development to embed change activities into project delivery and build strong organisational change capability.
What you’ll be doing
• Develop and deliver comprehensive change and transition plans aligned to the billing program and other initiatives
• Identify required change activities and the people and teams needed to deliver them
• Support project teams and managers to integrate change management into project plans
• Lead communication and audience engagement activities, developing collateral, resources and campaigns to build awareness and readiness
• Build strong relationships across the organisation to facilitate effective transition during change
• Coach and advise leaders on their role in change and help build a sustainable change mindset
• Apply structured change methodologies to mitigate risk, manage resistance and support successful adoption
What you’ll bring
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Change Management
• Experience applying recognised change methodologies such as Prosci/ADKAR, Kotter, HCD or similar
• Experience working across waterfall and agile programs or projects
• A people-centred, user experience mindset and strong understanding of how people experience change
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences
• Strong relationship building and influencing skills across all organisational levels
• Comfortable working in ambiguity and navigating complex environments through influence rather than authority
• Organised, systematic and disciplined approach to planning strategy and tactics
• Experience supporting large-scale organisational change initiatives
• A genuine passion for social impact and contributing to an organisation that exists for the most disadvantaged
Why this role matters
This is not just a systems implementation. It is a foundational change that enables Uniting to remain compliant, sustainable and responsive to major national aged care reforms — ensuring we can continue to serve our communities with integrity and care.
You’ll play a key role in making sure our people are ready for what comes next.
