Distribution Markets and System Operation (DMSO) are focussed on driving a transition to high-renewable, low-carbon energy systems to ensure security of supply for all ESB customers.

There are 5 pillars in DMSO

DMSO Design, Operations Solutions Delivery, Business Solutions Delivery, Network Operations and Retail Market Services.

The Change and Engagement team are responsible for ensuring appropriate change management methodologies and internal stakeholder engagement is utilised. This is fundamental to the success of DMSO.

The Change Lead will work as part of the Change and Engagement team to prepare ESB Networks for the implementation of all associated changes resulting from new products developed in DMSO and Smart Metering. This will involve liaising with the wider ESB organisation to ensure the impact of the changes are mitigated and communicated. The successful candidate will be assisted by external change support.

Key Responsibilities

• Owning and championing the change roadmap for the DMSO including ongoing communication and engagement with all staff within ESBN
• Developing and maintaining Change Management plan for all business areas impacted by the changes.
• Business readiness activities including stakeholder management, business engagement, communications, change impact assessment, organisational design and end-to-end training delivery
• Monitoring and reporting against the business transition, anticipating obstacles and planning interventions
• Work collaboratively with external partners to deliver and implement a comprehensive change and engagement strategy
• Lead a change management team in Operation Solutions Delivery.
• Weekly status updates to PM

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential

• 5+ Years relevant experience is required
• Strong leader who will be able to work with senior stakeholders and with the project team to implement the required change processes
• Proven ability to work with other functions, including cross-divisional and external suppliers to achieve business objectives
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage a number of conflicting and frequently changing priorities
• Ability to develop and implement robust plans
• Previous Project or Change Management Experience

Desirable

• Experience of organisational design and the HR processes required to implement major organisational change
• Knowledge of ESB Networks Business Operations

Qualifications

• Either 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work experience.

Location

Dublin. Flexible working arrangements around location may be considered where the project requirements can accommodate them. However regular attendance in Dublin for workshops/meetings will be required.

Smart Working at ESB is designed to make ‘in-person’ time together as purposeful as possible while also enabling the effective use of digital tools and hybrid arrangements to preserve our commitment to flexibility. The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction where they have been employed, with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration at least two days per week. All Smart Working arrangements are subject to regular review based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the business.

Salary

€59,000 to €70,000 per annum
