Role Purpose

The Transformation Change Analyst supports the successful delivery of change and transformation activity. The role focuses on understanding business impacts, analysing current and future ways of working, supporting stakeholder engagement, and helping to ensure change is adopted effectively.

Working closely with programme leads, project managers, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts, the postholder provides structured analysis, practical insight, and change support to help deliver sustainable business outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of transformation and change initiatives across people, process, systems, and ways of working.
  • Conduct impact assessments to identify how proposed changes affect teams, roles, processes, and stakeholder groups.
  • Gather, analyse, and interpret qualitative and quantitative information to inform change decisions and recommendations.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative insight to identify adoption trends, engagement levels and change risks.
  • Map current and future state processes and help identify opportunities for improvement, simplification, and standardisation.
  • Develop stakeholder maps, support engagement plans, and help maintain effective communication with impacted groups.
  • Assist in the design and delivery of change interventions, including communications, workshops, briefing materials, and adoption activities.
  • Support readiness assessments, feedback gathering, and adoption tracking to monitor progress and identify risks or resistance.
  • Prepare clear reports, dashboards, presentations, and summary papers for project boards and stakeholders.
  • Maintain key project and change documentation, including action logs, risk and issue tracking, and change activity plans.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, business analysts, leaders, and subject matter experts to ensure change activity is aligned to programme objectives.
  • Support post-implementation reviews and capture lessons learned to improve future change delivery.

Who are my key stakeholders?

The postholder is expected to work closely with transformation and change leads, project and programme managers, People Team colleagues, operational leaders, subject matter experts, and wider business stakeholders. The role may also work with external partners or suppliers where required to support delivery.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Some experience of supporting change, transformation, continuous improvement, project delivery, or business readiness activity, ideally within a fast-paced operational or customer-focused environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather information, identify themes, summarise findings, and translate insight into practical recommendations.
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence working with colleagues at different levels and style for different audiences.
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage actions, maintain documentation, track progress, and follow through on agreed deliverables.
  • Curious and improvement-focused, with an interest in understanding how people, processes, systems, and ways of working can be improved.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams, to support analysis, reporting, presentations, and collaboration.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a project or transformation team, while also taking ownership of defined tasks and deadlines.
  • Awareness of change management principles, stakeholder impact, adoption, communications, and training support would be advantageous, but formal change qualifications are not essential.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working with ambiguity as priorities evolve during change and transformation activity.
