
NYU Dentistry invites applications and nominations for the position of Chair of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. Founded in 1939, the department is one of the oldest and most distinguished pediatric dentistry programs in the United States, with a longstanding commitment to excellence in education, research, clinical care, and community service.
The Chair will provide visionary leadership for a comprehensive academic and clinical program dedicated to advancing pediatric oral health from infancy through adolescence. The department emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention, and equitable access to care, serving more than 5,000 children annually through clinics and extensive community outreach initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for the rank of Associate Professor is $135K - $225K & for the rank of Professor is $165K - $265K. The position will provide additional compensation for serving as Chair of the Department. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
