Our R&D department in Trondheim develops technological solutions and innovations to produce more efficiently and further reduce our environmental footprint.

The company employs 530 employees and generates an annual revenue of NOK 6 billion. Eramet Norway AS is a subsidiary of the French mining and metallurgy company ERAMET SA and is part of the Group’s manganese alloys business unit. The Group employs 10200 people worldwide.

Together we extract minerals and convert renewable energy to produce metals essential for the construction of a more sustainable world.

We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer F/M for our subsidiary Eramet Norway. As Chief Financial Officer, you will be a key member of the Eramet Norway leadership team, driving financial performance, cash generation and strategic decision-making across the company's industrial operations. This role is based in Porsgrunn, Norway.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop and engage a team of finance professionals; build a high-performing Finance department operating as a true business partner to the organization.
  • Lead cash flow management with a sustained focus on cash generation; identify and unlock levers to strengthen the company's financial position.
  • Lead scenario planning, sensitivity analyses and financial modelling to support strategic and investment decision-making.
  • Act as a trusted financial business partner to the management team and Plant Directors; translate strategic plans into robust financial frameworks.
  • Oversee all financial reporting: statutory, consolidation and management reporting, in compliance with Eramet Group standards, IFRS and local regulations.
  • Coordinate tax strategy and manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Oversee energy contract management, a key strategic cost driver for the company's operations.
  • Lead the Internal Control function to safeguard assets and ensure process integrity.
  • Serve as Secretary to the Board of Directors.

Your Profile:

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior finance role, preferably in the process or heavy industry.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable results in cost reduction, cash improvement and operational performance.
  • Experience in a complex, multicultural and matrix organisation reporting to a Group headquarters.
  • Strong business orientation: ability to understand operations beyond numbers, and to challenge assumptions constructively.
  • Excellent analytical, financial modelling and communication skills.
  • Leadership presence: ability to influence, align and engage senior stakeholders across functions.
  • Fluency in English required; Norwegian is a plus.
