Job Description

Seeking a hands-on Head of Finance to become a trusted partner to the CEO and ownership while strengthening reporting, FP&A, forecasting, controls and overall financial visibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead Finance, Accounting, HR, and serve as a trusted partner to the CEO.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, FP&A and long-range financial planning.
• Improve financial reporting, KPIs, controls and visibility into business performance.
• Oversee inventory, product costing, COGS, margins, working capital and cash flow.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain on purchasing, inventory, logistics and business planning.
• Evaluate and improve finance processes, systems and team structure; add resources where needed.
• Support strategic decisions, growth initiatives and the company’s financial readiness for future opportunities.

Ideal Background

• 10+ years of progressive Finance and Accounting leadership experience.
• VP Finance, Head of Finance, CFO or senior Controller experience.
• Background in consumer products, manufacturing, importing, distribution, wholesale or other inventory-heavy businesses.
• Strong understanding of inventory, product costing, COGS, gross margins, working capital and cash flow.
• Proven FP&A experience, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling and reporting.
• Comfortable working directly with a CEO/owner in a hands-on, privately held environment.
• Bachelor's degree required; NetSuite and international trade/import experience preferred.
