The City of Liverpool College has been awarded a leading national role in clean energy skills development, and been designated by the Department for Education as a Technical Excellence College (TEC) for clean energy.

We are now seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Manager to support the successful delivery of the CETEC strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of the CETEC strategy through effective project coordination, financial administration, stakeholder engagement and cross-college collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver and manage a range of administrative services and processes which may include some or all of the following tasks:
  1. Managing a budget relating to the CETEC funding, maintaining careful records of spending to date and ensuring full capital expenditure is utilised in compliance with DfE funding guidelines.
  2. Administrative support through maintaining databases and trackers, creating requisitions, and the production of reports and presentations.
  3. Diary management of multiple individuals and associated tasks, from basic scheduling to co-ordinating logistics such as travel, itineraries, events management, etc.
  4. Servicing high level meetings including the preparation, collation and distribution of agendas and papers.
  5. Support the planning and co-ordination of cross-college events relating to the CETEC strategy.
  6. Support management and delivery of the CETEC strategy. Liaise with external organisations and stakeholders to ensure timeliness of completion of KPIs.
  7. Act as a point of contact within the organisation for management of the CETEC programme, liaising closely with heads of school and lecturers in the relevant curriculum areas to ensure proactive participation in the CETEC strategy.
  8. Act as a positive representative for the College Group, maintaining a professional and positive image within the organisation and to external stakeholders.
  9. Participating in cross-college activities such as enrolment, summer recruitment, exam invigilation etc as required.
  10. Comply with the College’s financial regulations and other standards for procurement/asset management.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential Criteria:
  1. Proven track record of managing people and processes effectively, with clear targets and KPIs.
  2. An understanding of procurement and an ability to adapt to changing guidelines and regulations.
  3. Ability to network and communicate between curriculum, industry and regulatory bodies.
  4. An ability to work with curriculum teams and external stakeholders, adapting the use of language and terms of reference to ensure different parties do not experience barriers to engagement.
Desirable Criteria:
  1. Experience of working within both the education sector and the construction industry.
  2. Experience of working with publicly funded regional stakeholders such as City Council and Combined Authority.
