Job Title

Certifying Plumber/GasfitterCertifying Plumber/Gasfitter based at the University of Auckland Accommodation contract. Planned/Reactive Maintenance and small project work within a deticated site based team.

The Plumbing team supports the University Accommodation Business Unit by delivering reactive, planned and small-project maintenance services across student accommodation and selected university buildings. Work is carried out within a small team environment with a varied and busy portfolio.

Job Purpose

Complete plumbing maintenance and project tasks within university accommodation and associated buildings as required.

Key Accountabilities

• Complete plumbing tasks as required
• Identify opportunities for follow-up or additional work and escalate to client and/or manager
• Complete relevant documentation for invoicing and compliance
• Adhere to HSSEQ policies, procedures and legislative requirements
• Any other duties as required by your manager

Key Measures of Performance

• All works completed within required timeframes and to required standard
• Logon and logoff KPI achievement
• Completed works accurately recorded and sent to admin team within stipulated timeframes
• Future work identified and escalated to client and/or manager
• Internal and external customer satisfaction

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

Trade qualified, ideally with 5+ years’ experience in commercial, residential, or accommodation maintenance environments.

Certified Plumber and licensed Gasfitter.

QUALIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL SKILLS

• NZ Registered or Certifying Plumber
• Licensed Gasfitter
• Site Safe, Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platforms beneficial
• Experience working across commercial, residential or accommodation maintenance sites
• Computer skills – Word, Excel, webmail and use of smartphones/tablets
