As an experienced technician or CVT, you will play a vital role in patient care and client communication. Your day-to-day will utilize your full scope of practice, including:
Assisting in surgery, managing anesthesia, and monitoring patient recovery.
Performing dental scaling, polishing, and digital dental charting.
Obtaining digital radiographs and processing diagnostic laboratory samples (blood, urine, cytology).
Administering medications, placing IV catheters, and drawing blood.
Educating clients on preventative care, treatment plans, and post-operative instructions.
Maintaining accurate, detailed electronic medical records.
Experience: Previous experience working as a veterinary technician is required. Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVTs) are highly preferred.
Skills: Strong proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, surgical assisting, and venipuncture.
Mindset: A positive attitude, a passion for teamwork, and a commitment to providing compassionate care to both patients and their humans.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teammates and build trust with clients.
