Boston West Veterinary Emergency and Specialty is seeking a full-time Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our outstanding ER team!

Compensation:

• $30 - $35 based on knowledge & experience.
• Even higher for VTS!

Schedule Options (3x12s for better work-life balance):

• Overnights: Wednesday–Friday, 7p–7a
• Swings: 10a–10p or 12p–12a
  Swing shifts include one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday); specific days to be determined

About You: A highly skilled and experienced Certified Veterinary Technician who thrives in an ever-changing environment, equipped to stay calm and knows how to react quickly during life-threatening circumstances. What You'll Do:

• Comprehensive Care: You'll be responsible for delivering top-notch care to a diverse range of patients, including postoperative surgical patients, internal medicine cases, ICU patients, and emergency cases.
• Advanced Technical Skills From collecting samples to administering medications and calculating dosages, your expertise will be vital in ensuring our patients receive the best treatment possible.
• Critical Thinking: As a seasoned technician, you'll triage critical cases, monitor patient vitals, and promptly report any changes in status to the attending doctor.
• Empathetic Communication: Your compassionate communication style will shine as you educate and update owners on their pet's condition and facilitate smooth patient discharges.

Requirements:

• CVT/LVT/RVT preferred
• Minimum of 3 years working as a veterinary technician, preferably in ER/ICU medicine.
• Strong technical skills including ER/ICU Department Specific Skills
• Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members
• Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
