
Under the direct supervision of the General Surgeon, OR Unit Coordinator and the Director of Perioperative Services, maintains the sterile field in the operating room, being constantly vigilant to see that proper aseptic techniques are utilized to prevent contamination and infection and assist the surgeon with tissue manipulation during the surgical procedure.
There will be clinic hours as well as OR time but call is a requirement. Call will be 10-15 days per month.
Minimum Education
Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
Graduate of an accredited CFA program
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of six (6) months' recent experience as an CFA preferred
Required Skills
Must have a high energy level with ability to work under stress of the operating room atmosphere and exhibit emotional maturity, stability, and flexibility
BLS certification required
Required Licenses
BLS certification maintained.
CFA certification maintained.
