Summary:
- Work as a cohesive member of the surgical team.
- Must have knowledge of a vast number of surgical procedures and the steps the surgeon needs to take in order to complete the procedure, including the very wide range of surgical instruments they may need.
- Utilize instruments, medications, and other supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.
- Perform basic tasks such as transporting patients, checking patients' medical charts and consent forms.
- Possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique.
- Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
- Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
Education: Must be a graduate from an accredited school of surgical technology or have equivalent experience (minimum 2 years' experience). .

Experience:
New graduate up to experienced surgical technologist preference by hiring unit. Hospital orientation and unit orientation.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills. Must have excellent prioritization skills and the ability to multi-task.
