Our client operates three DevOps teams, each led by a Scrum Master, jointly responsible for the continued development and optimisation of the RijksZaak application. The CSSA will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimising complex PEGA solutions within an Agile delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex PEGA applications in collaboration with the Lead System Architect (LSA), ensuring alignment with both business and IT requirements.

  • Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and high-quality PEGA solutions.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development team members.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within the PEGA framework.

  • Ensure adherence to PEGA best practices, architecture standards, and governance frameworks.

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including Product Owners, Business Analysts, and other technical teams.

  • Contribute actively within the Agile team by participating in: Sprint planning; Sprint reviews; Retrospectives.

  • Drive continuous improvement in development processes, quality, and delivery.

  • Support optimisation and digitalisation initiatives within the organisation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable HBO (higher professional education) level of thinking and working.

  • Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) – PEGA certification is mandatory.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience with PEGA development.

  • Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Experience with case management systems such as PEGA and Alfresco.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts into business value.

Language Requirement (Critical)

  • Fluency (C1/C2 level) in Dutch (NL) is mandatory, both written and spoken, as Dutch is the primary working language within NCG.

  • English proficiency is required for technical documentation and collaboration where applicable.

Preferences (Nice-to-have)

  • Level of experience with Agile methodologies.

  • Experience with case management platforms such as PEGA and Alfresco.

  • Demonstrated competencies and skills (assessable via CV, motivation, and/or interview).

  • Affinity with or experience in public sector or government organisations.
