Aurora Medical Center Summit is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join a collaborative anesthesia team serving patients in Oconomowoc and the surrounding southeastern Wisconsin region

Position Highlights

  • $100,000 Sign-On Bonus
  • Competitive compensation range: $121-$159/hour
  • No call responsibilities, no weekends, and no holiday coverage required
  • 5 x 8-hour shift schedule
  • Rotation through two ambulatory surgery center locations
  • ACT Practice Model
  • Guaranteed additional shift opportunities with premiums of +$75-$100/hour above base rate
  • 30 days PTO with additional accrual based on years of service
  • 40 CME hours annually
  • $2,250 CME allowance

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop individualized anesthesia care plans.
  • Administer anesthesia care across a variety of surgical and procedural settings.
  • Monitor patient status throughout the perioperative period.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nursing teams, and procedural staff.
  • Participate in post-anesthesia evaluations and patient recovery planning.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
  • Support Advocate Health's commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • License/Registration/Certification Required:
  • Active RN, and APRN/APRN-FPA/APNP or other APRN license(s) in state(s) of practice, AND
  • Active national board certification as CRNA by nationally certifying board (NBCRNA).
  • Active DEA registration prior to hire
  • Active ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by clinical site/practice and/or role prior to or within 6 months of hire
  • Education Required: ​Master’s Degree in Nursing
  • Experience Required: No experience required. Experienced CRNAs and new graduates are encouraged to apply.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Demonstrated high level of clinical proficiency, and excellent decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective member of a health care team.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving technology and proficiency with the electronic medical record.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with and establish/build relationships with others.
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.

Aurora Medical Center Summit is located in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, a growing community situated between Milwaukee and Madison. The area offers access to lakes, outdoor recreation, excellent schools, and convenient access to southeastern Wisconsin's major metropolitan areas while maintaining a strong sense of community.
