Make a Difference in Recovery

Pyramid Healthcare's Recovery Support Services Division is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and motivated Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) Supervisor to lead and support our team of recovery professionals.

The CRS Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in supporting individuals recovering from substance use disorders by providing supervision, mentorship, advocacy, and guidance to a team of Certified Recovery Specialists. This position serves as a role model who promotes recovery-oriented systems of care, helps prevent relapse, and supports long-term recovery outcomes.

Pyramid Healthcare offers both Center of Excellence (COE) services for individuals with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and traditional Recovery Support Services. The CRS Supervisor ensures high-quality service delivery while fostering staff development, accountability, and excellence in client care.

Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

Leadership & Supervision

  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance feedback to Certified Recovery Specialists.
  • Train, orient, mentor, and support newly hired Recovery Support Services staff.
  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding team members.
  • Participate in employee disciplinary processes when necessary.
  • Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate program coverage.
  • Coordinate required staff training, certifications, and continuing education requirements.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations and support professional development initiatives.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and recovery-focused team environment.

Recovery Support & Client Services

  • Support individuals in recovery from substance use disorders through advocacy, mentorship, and recovery-focused engagement.
  • Assist clients in identifying and overcoming barriers to treatment participation and recovery success.
  • Intervene appropriately during crisis situations and connect individuals to needed resources and services.
  • Help individuals access housing, transportation, healthcare, food assistance, employment resources, and community supports.
  • Collaborate with treatment teams to support individualized recovery plans and promote treatment retention.
  • Utilize motivational approaches and recovery-oriented practices to encourage long-term recovery success.
  • Serve as a recovery role model while honoring the principles of peer support and recovery-oriented systems of care.

Care Coordination & Community Engagement

  • Develop and maintain relationships with behavioral health providers, healthcare organizations, community agencies, and recovery support networks.
  • Assist individuals receiving Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) by helping them navigate services and maintain engagement in care.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, leadership meetings, and community stakeholder collaborations.
  • Promote Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC) and facilitate connections to community recovery resources.
  • Advocate for individuals served across healthcare, behavioral health, and social service systems.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Accurately document services, recovery support activities, and program outcomes.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA and Pennsylvania confidentiality requirements.
  • Adhere to Pennsylvania Certification Board ethical standards and best practices.
  • Complete all required trainings, certifications, and mandatory education requirements.
  • Attend staff meetings, regional meetings, leadership meetings, and other required organizational meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Current Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB) Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) certification required.

Experience

  • 1+ year of supervisory experience OR 2+ years of experience in a substance use disorder treatment, recovery support, behavioral health, or related healthcare setting.
  • Experience working with individuals affected by Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and/or Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting individuals receiving Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) preferred.
  • Behavioral health, addiction treatment, care coordination, peer support, or healthcare experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of substance use disorders, recovery principles, and recovery-oriented systems of care.
  • Understanding of peer support services, harm reduction concepts, relapse prevention, and client engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with community resources and healthcare systems that support recovery and wellness.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Effective crisis intervention and de-escalation skills.
  • Ability to identify barriers to treatment and develop practical solutions.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to gather information, analyze situations, and make sound decisions.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality regulations, ethical standards, and Pennsylvania Certification Board requirements.
  • Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and basic computer applications.
