Schedule Various shifts may be available, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Duties- Verify patient identity before collecting specimens.
- Perform blood draws for inpatient and outpatient patients.
- Collect, label, and process specimens accurately.
- Assist with urine collections, blood cultures, and basic specimen processing.
- Follow laboratory procedures, safety rules, and infection-control standards.
- Maintain patient privacy and provide professional customer service.
- Communicate clearly with patients, nurses, and laboratory staff.
Qualifications- Current Phlebotomy Certification.
- At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Current BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain.
- Experience with difficult blood draws is a plus.
- Must be able to pass VA background screening and complete required VA onboarding/training.
- Reliable, professional, and comfortable working in a healthcare setting.
