
The pharmacy technician must work with pharmacy staff, Quality Correctional Care staff, and county staff to provide medications to inmates and facilities.
Mandatory Functions:
· Comply with all current and future state, federal, and local laws and regulations.
· Comply with court orders, medical department rules and the policies and procedures of Quality Rx.
· Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriate therapy, and interactions and communicate
· Assist pharmacist by accurately and efficiently processing, packaging, and dispensing prescriptions
· Remove outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory.
· Closely manage inventory in a cost-effective manner
· Recommend improved procedures, equipment, and supplies to supervisor.
· Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
· Present/participate in in-service education sessions.
· Maintain professional attitude at all times.
· Any and all duties as assigned.
Requirements: Pharmacy technician must be licensed in the state of Indiana. Closed door pharmacy experience required.
Position Details: This is a PRN position. Pharmacy Hours are M-F, 8AM-4PM.
