Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver individualized exercise programs tailored to clients affected by breast cancer, including prehabilitation, active treatment, and post-treatment phases
- Safely modify workouts to account for surgery (e.g., mastectomy, lumpectomy), reconstruction, lymphedema risk, fatigue, neuropathy, and range-of-motion limitations
- Monitor client progress, symptoms, and tolerance to exercise, adjusting programs as needed
- Educate clients on safe movement, posture, strength training, and recovery strategies
- Maintain clear documentation of assessments, programs, and progress notes
- Collaborate with oncologists, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers when appropriate
- Provide emotional support and foster a supportive, inclusive, and empowering training environment
- Stay current with research and best practices in cancer exercise science

Qualifications
Qualifications
Required:
- Certified Personal Trainer (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent)
- Specialized certification or formal training in cancer exercise or breast cancer rehabilitation (e.g., ACSM Cancer Exercise Trainer, Cancer Exercise Specialist, Pink Ribbon Program, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and contraindications related to breast cancer
- CPR/AED certification
Preferred:
- Experience working directly with breast cancer survivors or oncology populations
- Background in corrective exercise, rehabilitation, or medical fitness
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathetic, patient-centered approach to coaching
- Upbeat and positive
- Punctuality and reliability is a must
- High School diploma/GED equivalent required
