Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must meet Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) requirements for Peer Recovery Coaches, including a minimum of two continuous years in recovery from addiction and experience navigating treatment, recovery, and/or prevention services.
Must be willing and able to appropriately share lived recovery experience to support individuals receiving services.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Certified Recovery Coach preferred; candidates must obtain certification within six (6) months of hire. Relevant CCAR and/or MDHHS Peer Recovery Coach training is preferred.
Valid Michigan driver's license required.
Strong interpersonal, communication, active listening, organizational, and time-management skills.
Demonstrated empathy, professionalism, and the ability to build supportive relationships with individuals in recovery.
Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment, recovery support services, and community resources preferred.
