Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our Forensic HARPS Team in downtown Tacoma, WA.

Function A Certified Peer Counselor provides interventions through the use of shared experiences to assist clients in the acquisition and exercise of skills needed to support the client's recovery. Interventions may include activities that assist clients in accessing or engaging in treatment and in symptom management; promote social connection, recovery, and self-advocacy; provide guidance in the development of natural community supports and basic daily living skills; and support clients in engagement, motivation, and maintenance related to achieving and maintaining health and wellness goals.
Provide support and care coordination for Forensic HARPS consumers in diverting from the court system using housing first and harm reduction models. This is an outreach position with the expectation of being out of the office a minimum of 50% of the time. FHARPs Certified Peer Counselor support clients with housing instabilities, secure, find and maintain housing. This position may need to provide life skills, transportation, and other services in various environments and locations within the community.
