What You'll Do

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help residents restore function, increase independence, and improve their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments based on individualized care plans.
  • Assist residents in improving activities of daily living, mobility, strength, coordination, and functional independence.
  • Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team.
  • Accurately document treatments, progress, and functional outcomes.
  • Educate residents and families on adaptive techniques, therapeutic exercises, safety strategies, and home programs.
  • Collaborate with the rehabilitation and nursing teams to provide high-quality, resident-centered care.
  • Build positive relationships with residents while encouraging participation and progress toward individualized goals.

Qualifications

  • Current California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for rehabilitation and resident-centered care.
  • Positive, collaborative, and compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
