What You'll Do

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help residents restore function, increase independence, and improve their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments based on individualized care plans

  • Assist residents in improving daily living skills, mobility, strength, and functional independence

  • Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team

  • Accurately document treatments, progress notes, and functional outcomes

  • Educate residents and families on adaptive techniques, therapeutic exercises, and home programs

  • Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care

Qualifications

  • Current California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license (or eligibility for licensure)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Passion for rehabilitation and resident-centered care

  • Positive, collaborative, and compassionate approach to patient care
