We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Acute Care Unit. The CNA will work collaboratively with members of the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will uphold the principles of Plantree, as well as embody the core values and mission of SBH, ensuring a supportive and healing environment for our patients.
As a Nursing Assistant, you will:
Assist patients with ambulation, transfers, and repositioning to promote mobility and prevent complications.
Conduct patient rounds and ambulate patients every two hours, as appropriate.
Obtain, monitor, and accurately document vital signs in accordance with hospital policy.
Respond promptly and courteously to call lights and patient requests.
Assist with meal tray setup, provide feeding assistance when needed, and accurately document nutritional intake.
Immediately report changes in patient condition, safety concerns, or incidents/accidents to the charge nurse.
Support and participate in activities designed to keep patients engaged and promote overall well-being.
Collaborate effectively as part of a team with a strong focus on restorative care, safety, and exceptional customer service.
Participate in ongoing geriatric care education and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association preferred).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail.
