Certified Nursing Assistant/ Nursing Assistant Medical ICU

Position Highlights:

Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) is a 20 bed critical care unit that provides care to the critically ill patient. The staff of MICU provides expert care for a variety of medical illnesses including but not limited to; respiratory failure, acute and chronic kidney failure, liver failure, overdoses, and septic shock. All new graduate nurses will attend the Intensive Care Fellowship and Residency Program to enhance their skill set and prepare them to be nurse experts.

Certified Nursing Assistant

Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel for the achievement of patient`s plan of care.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 16 years of age required.

• Possesses a Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska.

• Demonstrated effective communication skills required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

Nursing Assistant

Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel for the achievement of patient`s plan of care.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 18 years of age required.

• High school education or equivalent required.

• Six months experience in patient care required or must be enrolled in nursing program.

• Demonstrated effective communication skills required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) upon completion of unit orientation required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Direct patient care experience preferred.

• Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing preferred.

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
