The ideal candidate will provide nursing care to patients through collaborative efforts with health team members while adhering to standards of care and practice. Job Quick Facts: • Ref#: BD-353-99 • Profession: Certified Nurse Assistant • Location: Mitchells, VA • Service Setting: Correctional Facility • Job Type: Contract • Coverage Type: Clinical • Start Date: ASAP • Shift schedule: 8a-4:30p • Rate: $25/hr Requirements: • Resume • Active Virginia license • CPR Certification Responsibilities: • Participates in the screening, evaluation, and care of inmates while under the supervision of a physician and/or registered nurse. • Record patients’ medical information and vital signs. • Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments. • Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, or supplies and ensure that stock of supplies is maintained. • Coordinate with other medical and ancillary personnel, as required, to ensure continuity of care. • Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ condition. • Provide appropriate nursing interventions in emergency situations. • Comply with all state requirements and facility policies and procedures. • Additional duties as assigned by facility.
