Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Minden Medical Center is looking for a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our nursing team!

As a CNA, you'll play an important role in providing quality, hands-on care to our patients while working closely with licensed nursing staff. You'll help patients with their daily needs, promote a safe and therapeutic environment, and serve as a caring and supportive presence throughout their stay.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Support licensed nursing staff with routine patient care activities within the scope of your training and experience.
• Provide day-to-day custodial care and comfort to assigned patients.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.
• Monitor and communicate patients' medical and emotional needs to licensed nursing staff.
• Assist patients with their daily needs and respond to requests in a timely and compassionate manner.
• Work as an essential member of the nursing team to help ensure patients receive high-quality care.
• Float to other departments when needed and participate in on-call duties as required.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Current CNA Certification or Patient Care Technician (PCT) certification.

Preferred:

• One year of hospital or nursing home experience.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
