ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Accurately obtains vital signs and weights in a timely manner and reports to nurse.
• Administers simple treatments and/or tests according to policy.
• Provides post procedure care to patients in an efficient and empathetic manner.
• Initiates patient care consistent with the nursing plan.
• Provides/assists patients with activities of daily care.
• Understands and applies principles of aseptic technique at all times in caring for patients.
• Notifies the nurse of any changes in the patients’ condition in a timely manner.
• Helps to keep all clinical areas neat and clean, cleans bays, stretchers and restock areas
• Maintains a professional image at all times.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Graduate of a Certified Nurse Aid program
• At least six months prior related experience in assisting with care of patients preferred.
• Current California certification as Nursing Assistant.
• Current American Heart Assn. BLS certificate.

• Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
• Ability to be on your feet for long periods.
• Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.
• Ability to communicate verbally both in person and on the telephone.
• Ability to use computer keyboard and to view a computer monitor.
