CNA-Float-House Pt. Care
Full-Time, FTE First Shift

Services are provided in House Pt. Care within all nursing departments in the hospital. CNA’s In House PT. Care can float to other units to provide CNA services as well as sitter services to assist nursing with at risk patients. Certified professional caregiver working under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsible for providing assigned care according to scope of practice. Has adequate knowledge to approach patients of all age groups. All employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives.
Certified Nurse Aide-Float Pool-Full-Time
Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care, including personal hygiene, bathing, toileting, oral care, andassistancewith daily activities.
Obtain and record vital signs, weights, intake and output, and report changes or abnormalities to the RN.
Assistwith patient mobility — turning, repositioning, ambulating, andmaintainingproper body alignment.
Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharges by preparing rooms, escorting patients, and ensuring comfort and safety.
Perform delegated clinical tasks such as specimen collection, blood glucose monitoring, EKGs, and other unit-specific procedures.
Assistpatients with nutritional needs — setting up trays, feeding when necessary, andmaintaininghydration and dietary restrictions.
Answer call lights promptly and respond to patient and visitor needs with courtesy and professionalism.
Communicate effectively with RNs and team members,participatingin hourly rounding and shift reports.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment while following hospital safety and infection control procedures.
Demonstrate a calm, caring demeanor in stressful or emotional situations and promote patient dignity and advocacy.
Participate in department safety training, quality improvement initiatives, and emergency preparedness activities.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certificationrequired
Basic Life Support is required New employees requiring CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association should receive (CPR) training within the first week of orientation.
