A leading automotive manufacturing organization is seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Millwright to join their Maintenance & Facilities team.
This is a Afternoon Shift $36-$40 with shift Premium, "Candidates should have Heavy Manufacturing"
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting production equipment to support safe and efficient manufacturing operations.
This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on presses, rolling mills, molding machines, and other production equipment
- Install, move, modify, and set up machinery and equipment
- Complete equipment installations including alignment, leveling, positioning, and setup of mechanical components
- Dismantle, relocate, assemble, and install machinery as required
- Perform preventative maintenance activities including lubrication, inspections, and equipment adjustments
- Repair and replace mechanical components such as belts, shafts, conveyors, and drive systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine work procedures
- Operate tool room equipment and complete fabrication tasks as required
- Weld, assemble, and fabricate components when required
- Provide support, guidance, and knowledge sharing to apprentices and team members
- Communicate equipment issues, maintenance concerns, and repair requirements to supervisors
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and workplace organization activities
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Millwright Certificate
- Completion of college/technical training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings
- Excellent knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
- Ability to diagnose and solve mechanical maintenance issues
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Basic mathematical skills including ratios and percentages
Preferred Qualifications
- Overhead crane certification
- Forklift certification
- Tier 1 automotive manufacturing experience
- Experience working with production machinery and industrial equipment
