We’re looking for a Certified Millwrightto join our Athabasca Oriented Strand Board (OSB) division, located in Slave Lake, Alberta. This state-of-the-art facilityhas the longest continuous press in North America, giving us the ability to manufacture a broad range of innovative forest productsfor customers around the world

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Experience working as a Millwrightwith a valid Interprovincial Ticket
  • Experience troubleshooting hydraulicsystems
  • Ability to read blueprints, plans and schematics
  • Strong problem-solvingskills
  • Commitment to working safely
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independentlywith little supervision.
  • Good organizational and planning skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems(CMMS) - preferably JD Edwards.
  • Previous experience in a forest products environment is considered an asset.

In this role you will:

  • Work with a high-performance teamdedicated to maintaining all mill machineryincluding pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers and chains, bearings and hydraulic systemsinvolved in the manufacturing process.
  • Keep our systems running smoothly by performing preventative and predictive maintenance This includes inspecting machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Find safe, creative ways to boost equipment reliability and streamline our processes.
  • Apply your knowledge, skills and experience to troubleshoot issues and come up with safe, reliable fixes to keep the mill running.
  • Share your knowledgewith the next generation of maintenance rockstars – our Apprentices.
