Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Bilingual

Location: Nashville, TN 37204 Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (8-hour shifts)

Reports to: Medical Practice Manager Pay Range: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour

Clinic Overview:

Our clinic offers comprehensive services, including HIV treatment, HIV prevention (Pre- and Post-Exposure Prophylaxis), STI treatment and prevention, as well as a full range of sexual health services.

We’re seeking Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) who are passionate about inclusive healthcare and want to contribute to a culture that values equity, customer service, and collaboration.

Core Responsibilities

• Room patients, collect vital signs, and document medical histories and current medications
• Perform phlebotomy and administer medications, including injections
• Collect specimens for in-office and external lab testing
• Assist providers with clinical procedures and technical tasks
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, triage patient inquiries, and complete documentation
• Maintain a welcoming and professional environment and clinical space organization and cleanliness, including waiting areas
• Manage sensitive information with strict confidentiality
• De-escalate or manage difficult situations in a professional and patient-centered way
• Participate in required training (e.g., HIV prevention, Nashville CARES initiatives)
• Support quality improvement efforts and clinic operations
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Certification: Current CMA in Tennessee
• Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
• Experience:
• Minimum 2 year of experience as a CMA or LPN in a clinical setting (Strongly Preferred)
• Familiarity with EMR systems (Preferred; please specify system experience)
• Language Skills: Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
• Paid Time Off: 27 PTO days in year one; up to 37 days by year 10

• Candidates must be able to reliably commute to or plan to relocate to Nashville, TN 37204 before start date.

Pay Range

USD $22.00 - USD $25.00 /Hr.
