
Working in Heart & Valve Center Hospital Clinic; Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm; no weekends, no holidays.
Full Time. First Shift
The Heart Valve Clinic provides specialized evaluation, coordination, and management of patients with valvular heart disease. The clinic collaborates with cardiology and cardiothoracic teams to deliver timely, evidence-based care, support treatment planning, and enhance patient outcomes through coordinated, patient-centered services.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care including vital signs, histories, injections, and assisting with exams and procedures
Support efficient patient flow and clinic operations
Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and obtain insurance authorizations
Perform waived laboratory testing and specimen handling
Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients as directed
Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment cleanliness
Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Follow safety, infection control, and organizational policies
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program (Technical Diploma required)
Minimum of 2 years of medical office or clinical experience preferred
Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
Basic Life Support (BLS) — American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire
