Do you thrive in hands-on, team-based operations where reliability and accountability are critical? If you are an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic with strong troubleshooting skills and a continuous improvement mindset, we want you on our team.
As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, Site Services, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the reliability and performance of equipment used in a surface hard rock mining operation. You will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining blasting, loading, hauling, and support equipment, while supporting a strong safety culture and high operational standards across the site.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance:
Demonstrate safe work behaviours by participating in daily and monthly safety meetings, completing task-based risk assessments, and identifying and reporting unsafe conditions, incidents, or near misses.
Inspection & Diagnostics:
Inspect mobile and fixed equipment for proper performance, identifying faults, malfunctions, and potential failures.
Maintenance & Repair:
Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems in accordance with the scope of work and manufacturer specifications. Test and commission repaired or newly installed equipment to ensure proper operation.
Continuous Improvement:
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and remain current with industry and technical best practices and requirements.
Documentation & Reporting:
Complete accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists. Clearly communicate work completed and any emerging equipment concerns.
Tools & Housekeeping:
Maintain hand tools and equipment to ensure safe operation. Keep work areas orderly and in compliance with housekeeping standards.
Additional Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned and assist with other mine-related activities as required.

Salary: $43.60 CAD - $67.32 CAD
The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience and internal equity.
