Job Description

Prairie Band Health Services needs a Mammography Technologist to provide services in the Mammography Suites at Heart Butte Health Station located in Heart Butte, MT 59448.

General: BFSU has a state-of-the-art mammography Suite that was built in 2019. Efforts are underway to certify the mammography Suite and obtain Certified Technologists to bring Mammography services in house.

· Work schedule will be 36-40 hours per week.

Duties and responsibilities consist of providing Mammography services and to operate specialized X-ray equipment to produce high-quality images of breast tissue, allowing doctors to accurately diagnose breast conditions by performing mammograms, which includes preparing patients for the procedure, positioning them correctly, and ensuring optimal image quality while adhering to radiation safety guidelines; they also need to maintain and troubleshoot the equipment and may assist with patient tracking and record keeping.

Requirements

· Shall possess a degree or diploma from a professional program approved by the legally designated state accrediting agency at the time of the program was completed by the applicant.

· Shall possess a current, valid, unrestricted license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States, from an FDA-approved body throughout the term of this contract and certification and registration in mammography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), which requires to first be certified in general radiography and meet specific educational and clinical experience requirements in mammography.

· At minimum 12 months of experience as a Mammography Technologist

Indian Preference Exercised Prairie Band, LLC is subject to Title 22: Employment Code of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. In accordance with Title 22, this position is designated as a TIER 2 position. Preference will be given to individuals to the extent required pursuant to Section 22-2-4(B).
