A specialty industrial contractor is bringing in a crawler crane operator for a scheduled plant shutdown in central Minnesota. This is a fast-moving, defined-scope project with a hard start and end date — the kind of work where you show up knowing the job, execute clean, and go home. If you run a Manitowoc MLC-165 and have shutdown experience in heavy industrial environments, this one's ready to move.

• $40.00/hr straight time | $60.00/hr overtime
• $120.00/day per diem — days worked only
• $0.725/mile mileage reimbursement — paid on successful project completion
• Schedule: 7/12s — night shift
• Duration: June 18 – June 28, 2026 (10 days of 7/12s)
• Location: St. Cloud, MN

• Operate a Manitowoc MLC-165 crawler crane safely and efficiently throughout the duration of a planned industrial shutdown
• Perform precision lifts for hanging ductwork and filter installation in an active plant environment
• Support removal and replacement of a pellet mill with a vertical conditioner — coordinating with ground crew and rigging team
• Maintain crane readiness, complete pre/post-shift inspections, and document any mechanical issues
• Work night shift as part of a 24/7 two-shift shutdown crew — start on time, communicate clearly, execute without supervision

Preferred Skills/Experiences:

• Current NCCCO Crawler Crane certification (CCS) required
• Documented Manitowoc MLC-165 operating experience strongly preferred
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (Construction or General Industry)
• Rigging and signalperson credentials a plus
• Experience in heavy industrial shutdowns, paper mills, ethanol plants, food processing, or similar environments
• Comfortable with extended schedule (7/12s), night shift, and short-duration project work
• Valid driver's license; reliable transportation to site or ability to mobilize independently
