Job Description

The Certification Program Specialist will serve as a senior technical and regulatory subject matter expert for the Saudi Arabia Saleem Program (Saudi Product Safety Program). The role requires deep hands‑on expertise in SASO schemes, portals and platforms, conformity assessment schemes and operations, and ISO/IEC 17065 implementation within SASO‑accredited Certification Bodies.
The position also acts as a knowledge anchor, supporting operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and business growth initiatives in the Saudi GMA market.

• Own and maintain Certification Program, including policies, procedures, SOPs, work instructions, checklists, and compliance documentation.
• Act as Regulatory and Program SME for Saudi SALEEM and SASO certification schemes; monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely updates to certification processes and documentation.
• Ensure ISO/IEC 17065 compliance, including impartiality, risk management, management review, and audit readiness.
• Manage and maintain accreditations, regulatory notifications, and designations for Certification Offices.
• Oversee certification lifecycle processes, including initial certification, updates, renewals, surveillance, re‑testing, and laboratory qualification where applicable.
• Monitor program performance and support development of reporting, dashboards, and operational tools.
• Serve as a knowledge anchor, providing training and support to operations, follow‑up services, sales, and internal stakeholders.
• Support creation of sales and service enablement materials and contribute as SME in customer engagements, marketing activities, and webinars.
• Support business expansion initiatives
• Build and maintain strong regulatory relationships, participate in regulatory committees, and represent UL Solutions in external initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunication preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in the Saudi GMA product compliance market.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17065 and its implementation within SASO‑accredited Certification Bodies.
• Solid understanding of SASO CB and Energy Efficiency (EE) laboratory compliance requirements.
• In‑depth knowledge of SASO programs: SABER P‑CoC, Shipment CoC, SASO EX, SIRC, SASO EER, SQM, SASO COC.
• Hands‑on experience with SASO platforms: SABER, Maneh, Jeem1, Wasif, E‑SASO Services, SLS, etc.
• Proven ability to develop SOPs, procedures, and compliance documentation, act as SME/knowledge anchor, support audits, and contribute to business expansion and regulatory engagement.
