Certification Manager, Educational Services
The Axis Communications Academy empowers physical security industry professionals to design, install, and configure industry-leading video surveillance solutions. Our educational services are comprised of classroom-based training and online modules, with more than 6,000 Axis partners and customers trained annually. The individual filling this role will be responsible for the strategy, governance, administration, and continuous improvement of the organization's professional certification program. This is an on-site position based in Chelmsford, MA
What you’ll do here as Certification Manager, Educational Services?
Manage the lifecycle of certification programs from concept through launch, maintenance, and retirement
Define certification standards, policies, governance, and operational procedures
Ensure certifications align with channel, customer, and organizational objectives
Manage both virtual and in-person certification testing operations
Partner with subject matter experts to align exam question banks and local scenario-based assessments
Align certification standards with industry best practices and accreditation requirements where applicable
Manage certification workflows, enrolment rules, exam delivery, reporting, and learner records
Partner with IT and Academy stakeholders to support system enhancements
Support data governance and certification record management
Own digital badging operations through credentialing platforms
Develop and manage certification pathways for candidates seeking certification without course attendance
Define recertification requirements and renewal pathways
Develop continuing education frameworks that recognize instructor-led training, eLearning, workshops, and other approved initiatives
Provide regular certification program updates to Academy, sales, and executive stakeholders
Establish certification KPIs and success metrics
Forecast certification budgeting and vendor management

Project and program management
Strong in analytical and critical thinking
High attention to detail, with ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to convey both details and big picture
Organized and excellent time management skills
Team-oriented, yet also a self-starter
Obtaining an Axis certification will be required post-hire
We'd love to hear that you have/are:
Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, learning and development, or related field
Experience analyzing certification metrics and reporting program outcomes
3+ years of experience managing certification, training, or learning programs preferred
Experience with Learning Management Systems and certification platforms preferred

Expected travel time for this position is 25%.
Target Salary:
The approximate pay range for this role is $110K-$120K. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.
