The CNA performs nursing procedures and patient care tasks under the general supervision of a professional staff nurse. Attends to personal needs and comfort of patients and performs a variety of other duties to assist the staff nurse responsible for these patients. The Nurse's Aide, although supervised, proceeds alone on routine tasks, referring questionable situations to the appropriate staff nurse or nursing supervisor.
Specifications High school graduate and completion of an approved Nursing Assistant Training program required. Must maintain a current Rhode Island Department of Health CNA license and CPR certification. Must be at least 18 years old. Proficiency in the English language required.
