
[What the role is]
A Centre Manager oversees day-to-day operations and run programmes within the centre. They coordinate cross-centre and cross-sector programmes, and take on operational, HR, and finance management responsibilities for the centre. They monitor and strive to achieve key indicators of the centre’s impact and financial health, as part of achieving the overall organisation strategy.
An excellent communicator to both internal and external stakeholders, the Centre Manager provides leadership to all staff when managing incidents/problems, ensuring that all issues are resolved satisfactorily and timely.
Assistant Directors / Senior Assistant Directors / Deputy Directors are expected to lead the formulation of strategies for sub-departments or units, in order to support the department and organisation's overall strategies. They are required to negotiate with senior internal and external parties during the course of work, to reach agreement to accept whole approaches. In order to improve on and modify existing processes and techniques, the incumbent will identify and solve for complex problems through extensive investigation and analysis. At this level, roles will manage multiple teams through application of mastery of knowledge in a particular discipline, or practical experience in several functional areas
