Working with the AA | Me mahi tahi tatou ki AA

For over 120 years the AA have been helping Kiwis on their adventures! Today, we're one of New Zealand's most respected and trusted brands. From our humble beginnings as a motoring enthusiast's club, the New Zealand AA (Automobile Association) has grown into a large, dynamic organisation offering many services and products to more than a million Members.

And now, we’re building the organisation of the future – more connected, modern, and purpose-driven. We are a business in transformation, with opportunities to work cross-functionally, grow new skills, and make a meaningful impact. We’re investing in our people, platforms, and ways of working to stay ahead of what our Members and customers need.

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Centre Manager, Manukau to join the AA team.

What You'll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga

As Centre Manager for our Manukau AA Centre, the busiest and newest centre in our network, you’ll lead a high-performing team of Customer Sales Consultants and Insurance Consultants while also overseeing our satellite site in Takanini. This is a dynamic and rewarding leadership role where you’ll be responsible for driving sales performance, delivering exceptional customer experiences, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining strong risk and compliance standards across both locations. You’ll coach, develop and inspire your team to achieve ambitious goals, effectively manage budgets and resources, champion health and safety, and foster a positive, values-led culture. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you’ll lead through change, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and play a key role in delivering outstanding results for our customers, people and the wider AA.

Please note that this is a fully office based role at our Manukau AA centre (there is no WFH available).

With excellent communication skills, strong business acumen and sound judgement, you'll be comfortable balancing commercial performance, people leadership and operational priorities across multiple sites. As a hands-on leader, you'll be happy to roll up your sleeves and support the team wherever needed, leading by example and helping deliver a seamless customer experience during busy periods. You’ll be highly organised, digitally savvy and have a passion for leading teams, driving continuous improvement and delivering outstanding customer outcomes.
