About the Role:

As the Centre Manager, this role is responsible for the overall management of Rushcutters Bay Tennis + Kiosk with an equal focus on facility operations and tennis program delivery. The centre includes five synthetic grass tennis courts, a kiosk, customer service reception, and two indoor community spaces - the Reg Bartley Community Room and Meeting Room.

You will work closely with the Cluster Manager to ensure a comprehensive and well-structured program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facility Management - oversee the daily operations of the tennis centre to ensure a safe, clean and welcoming environment that is well presented, with responsibilities including contractor coordination, maintenance reporting, customer service, compliance, logistics and general service delivery.
• Program Delivery/Coaching - lead the design, coordination and optimisation of tennis programs, ensuring they are professionally delivered, well-attended and aligned with industry standards and key community inputs
• Contract Management - maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, particularly the City's Contract Managers (City Leisure Services Team), by responding to enquiries and supporting the implementation of key contractual requirements and processes.
• Governance and Compliance - ensure adherence to policies, WHS and child safety standards
• Marketing and Promotion - contributing to social media content ie. Videos, Posts, Photos etc for all tennis related programming
• Cafe - support the management of the Cafe Operators agreement

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Certified tennis coach (preferably with a Tennis Australia qualification)
• Proven experience as a tennis coach at various levels
• Strong knowledge of club management operations
• Strong communication skills to engage positively with local government stakeholder and clients
• Some experience with contract management and understanding compliance
• Current First Aid and CPR certification

About Rushcutters Bay Tennis Centre:

Located in one of Sydney's most picturesque parks. We run tennis programs for Juniors and Adults including coaching, social tennis, private tennis lessons, school holiday camps, school programming and court hire as well as offering an amazing food and beverage offering from the cafe.

• Relevant Coaching Accreditation
• First Aid Certificate
• Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check

Desirable Criteria

• Sports Management / Business Degree
