Thrive Blakehurst is our EXCEEDING rated centre located in the Southern Sydney, close public transport and offers free onsite parking.

The leadership team values the importance of a healthy work/life balance which is shown through their effective teamwork in sharing responsibilities.

The team in Blakehurst have on going support from their Area Manager, Centre Leader, Assistant Centre Leader and Educational Leader who encourage and empower all educators.

About the Role

As Centre Leader (Manager/Director), you will lead your team with integrity, confidence, and a strong commitment to quality. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the centre, supporting educators, engaging families, and ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of dedicated educators
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth, compliant, and high-quality practices
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with families, staff, and the local community
  • Manage enrolments, occupancy, budgets, and staffing
  • Uphold high standards in educational programming and regulatory compliance

Reporting to the Area Manager and supported by a 2IC and Educational Leader, this role is ideally suited to an experienced Early Childhood Centre Director who is passionate about leading a team aligned with Thrive’s mission: “Thrive is committed to excellence in early education.”

This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational leader who is dedicated to shaping positive outcomes for children and whose actions motivate others to reach their full potential and embrace continuous learning.

As Centre Leader, you will be fully off the floor, enabling you to focus on leadership responsibilities and ensure all obligations under the National Quality Framework are met in line with the centre and organisational philosophy.

You will also stay connected with other Thrive Centre Leaders through monthly meetings—an excellent opportunity to collaborate, share ideas, and learn from one another.

We recognise and reward your hard work and dedication in a variety of ways, including a performance-based bonus incentive of over 8% of your base salary per annum.

What We’re Looking For

  • Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
  • Proven leadership experience in an early childhood setting
  • Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQS, EYLF, and Regulations)
  • Current NSW Employee Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, Child Protection & Asthma/Anaphylaxis training
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for early childhood education and a desire to make a difference
