Busy Bees at Mitchelton is seeking a confident, commercially astute and people-focused Centre Director to lead our 94-place service in the heart of Mitchelton. This is a key leadership opportunity within QLD Area 1, reporting to our Area Director.
We are looking for a strong operator who can drive occupancy, mentor and retain high-performing teams, maintain compliance excellence and build meaningful community relationships.
As Centre Director, you will:
Lead the day-to-day operations of a 94-place early learning service
Drive occupancy growth and financial performance in line with budget targets
Build, mentor and retain a high-performing leadership team
Maintain compliance with the National Quality Framework and state regulations
Foster a culture of safety, inclusion, and educational excellence
Develop strong partnerships with families and the local community
Collaborate with your Area Director and support functions to achieve strategic goals
Lead performance management, workforce planning and succession planning
This role suits an experienced Centre Director or a strong 2IC/Educational Leader ready to step into a full P&L leadership position.
Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA approved)
Current QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card – Employee)
Proven experience leading a service (ideally 70+ place centre)
Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF), EYLF and compliance requirements
Demonstrated ability to manage occupancy, rosters and financial performance
Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
Full working rights in Australia (if visa sponsorship is required, eligibility must align with current Department requirements)
