As Cook, your primary focus is ensuring that all food preparation, presentation and cooking techniques are carried out according to the established recipes, policies and procedures.

The position:
Fulltime, Monday to Friday (404 hours per week between the hours of 7.30am - 5.30pm).
Preparing and cooking vegetarian meals for approximately 70 tamariki each day
Ability to cater for dietary and allergy requirements is essential for this role
Responsible for ordering, and working within a budget
NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa is a pre-requisite
Kindercare police vet all potential employees
Who are you?
An experienced Cook who is:
Competent in preparing, cooking and serving food that follows our recipes
Committed to the highest standards of cleanliness, and adhering to our policies and procedures
A cheerful multi-tasker, with excellent time-management skills
Willing to do cleaning, laundry and restocking supplies
Flexibility to help out with other duties within the Centre
Has strong organisation skills and time management
A clear communicator who values the importance of team work
Experienced in food preparation and food safety is preferred
