As the Centralized Processing Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of HUB Canada West’s centralized processing teams, overseeing service levels, workflow efficiency, and system improvements across processing and support functions. You will act as a key liaison between centralized operations and branch leadership, communicating updates, results, and proposals to internal stakeholders. A significant portion of the role centers on people leadership, mentoring Processing Leads and their teams, conducting regular one-on-ones and huddles, leading performance review cycles, and supporting recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding. The role also manages scheduling and leave, addresses performance concerns in line with HUB policy, and fosters a team culture that supports change and continuous improvement.
A day in the life -
Operations & Process Management
Lead the day-to-day operations of centralized processing teams and their leads
Report on service level standards for processing and support teams
Manage CSIO download error resolution and distribute download reports to appropriate teams
Oversee mail and paperless distribution workflows
Identify and implement workflow improvements to drive efficiency gains
Assist in discovery, evaluation, and implementation of new technologies and systems
Participate in and contribute to cross-functional projects as required
Communication & Collaboration
Serve as a communication bridge between centralized teams and branch/operations leadership
Present updates, results, and proposals to internal stakeholders with confidence and clarity
People Leadership & Talent Management
Mentor and develop Processing Leads and their team members, supporting career growth at all levels
Conduct monthly one-on-ones with team leaders to review performance results and career development
Hold regular team huddles to communicate changes, priorities, and departmental updates
Facilitate mid-year and year-end performance reviews
Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of new team members
Manage staff offboarding in a professional and respectful manner
Oversee scheduling, including vacation, sick time, and leave management
Address performance concerns promptly, fairly, and in alignment with HUB policy
Foster a team culture that embraces change, values diverse perspectives, and welcomes process improvement suggestions
What you will bring to our team -
Required
Minimum 5 years of experience in personal lines insurance, back-office processing, or related operations
Active BC Level 2 General Insurance License
Demonstrated proficiency with EPIC (Applied Systems BMS)
Strong understanding of processing workflows, CSIO download management, and broker back-office operations
Proven people leadership experience, including performance management and team development
Ability to audit operational processes and hold teams accountable to defined standards
Comfortable presenting to and communicating with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
Assets
Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
Familiarity with AI tools, prompt engineering, or Gen AI adoption in an insurance operations context
CAIB, CIP, or other insurance designation
Salary Expectations -
The expected salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
