Under the direction of the Supervisor or Charge, the Central Supply and Distribution Technician I is responsible for ensuring the supplies and equipment are delivered to requesting departments in a timely manner and that proper inventory control systems are used. Duties include but are not limited to: utilizing the ERP and BlueBin systems to support a value driven supply system, providing customer service, and movement of supplies through distribution. This includes accurately receiving, storing, picking, issuing, delivering supplies to enterprise locations using the ERP and Blue Bin systems, and other duties as assigned. Must be willing and able to assist with upkeep of accurate inventory controls utilizing best practices in accordance with departmental and organization policies & procedures, goals, and daily activities. Attention to detail and a thorough understanding of inventory management are critical to success.
There are multiple assignments within the position as scheduled by the Supervisor (see assignments outlined in the job specific competencies.)
Experience
Previous experience in supply handling or healthcare experience with 1 year minimum is preferred not required. Experience with ERP or inventory management is preferred.
Education
Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university plus (3) three years of associated healthcare resource and materials management experience preferred; or
High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent work experience of (5) five years of associated healthcare resource and Supply Chain Services experience in a healthcare facility preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to fifty (50) lbs., pushing, carrying, operating a pallet jack, reaching overhead, and crouching.

Assigned Work Hours:
Per diem, varied am/pm shfits - minimum of f our shifts per month, primarily weekend shifts, and includes holidays.
This is not a full or part time position and no set guaranteed hours in a two week pay period.

The hours employees work determine when a shift differential is paid.
